Proposal request
Discussion
Rather than write out what happened first, I want to gauge peoples reactions and thoughts!
If you were a teacher putting on a school musical and a man approached you in the interval, asking if he could propose on stage to his girlfriend, (the mother of the star of the show) would you let him?

No - the mother of the star of the show is not part of the show. If you were a teacher putting on a school musical and a man approached you in the interval, asking if he could propose on stage to his girlfriend, (the mother of the star of the show) would you let him?
No. The limelight is for the kids on this occasion.
Also, I can't understand anyone who wants to propose in a public setting. It puts undue pressure on the proposee and has the potential to become a very awkward situation. Pick somewhere quiet and intimate that means something to you both, a place that hopefully you'll be able to return to in future, and do it with no one around.
