Best convertible supercar for under £150k?
Discussion
I am looking to drop the big one, and now torn between a murcielago or California.
Swaying towards Murcie lp640 but concerned about using it in the U.K. and reliability/usage if stuck in traffic a lot.
Gallardo looks tiny (I'm 6'4") and isn't a v12/ no scissors.
Fezza a bit more "serious" and one maybe for when I'm over 50.
Any other marque too boring.
Maybe my preconceptions are completely out. Have I missed a trick?
In your opinion what would you get for under £150k?
I would drive it for weekend trips and golf, and the odd work run to annoy colleagues!
P.s whenever I've owned a coupe I've always really missed a convertible

Ooh interesting, I didn't think that was possible. Will look into that
What puts me off is I look at McLaren's performance in F1 (at least 4 seconds off Ferrari pace and engines changing left right and centre) and I get embarrassed for them, and I'd be embarrassed driving one. Honda have a lot to answer for I guess!

In before RamboLambo says McLaren 650s spider. (A 150k bid would probably get hit sooner rather than later)
Might get an early high mileage coupe for that sort of money but average spider prices are more like £175k.You could get a 12C spider though within budget. They are probably the bargain supercar of the moment and they don't even have a Honda engine
There's a few 650s spiders on sale below £165k with less than 10k miles.
And to be fair the cars offered at higher prices have been there for a while - who's to say one of them isn't a little keener to sell than the others? You can only show a bid and see what happens.
The price advertised is rarely the sale price - so don't be shy!

For £150k the McLaten 12c spider, if your pockets are a little deeper then a 650 spider. Nothing else comes close for the money. Drive the others then a McLaren and you will see!
Everybody seems to admire mine, no negative reactions unlike what I have heard from Ferrari and Lambo owners - never let out at junctions, the w@nker sign given often - how do you think the mrs or kids will react to that? I still want an F40 though lol.
Buy what you like, it would be a shame if we all liked the same thing.
