Spigot ring issue
Discussion
I recently got a MK7 golf gti and have bought at set of aftermarket wheels for it (Wolfrace) and they came with the correct spigot sized rings, however while the wheels go on they will not centre 100% due to the spigot rings and the tapered hub on the mk7.
Basically when the wheel is lifted onto the hub the spigot as it is not physically attached to the wheel (just placed in the bore) is snagging and moving and it ends up sitting at an angle with part of it on the the correct part of the hub and the other half slipping down the tapered section towards the mouting face.
Having checked and meausred the OEM wheels, hub, bore on the aftermarket wheels the resolution seems to be that to resolve the problem the spigot ring need to be bonded into the bore of the alloy wheel to keep it in place.
The question is what is the best for bonding the plastic spigot ring to the alloy wheel, I was thinking superglue, any other suggestions?
