Hey guys n gals (and guys that drive like gals) - just thought I would check-in :-)

The Spyder has clocked up 99,936 miles since I bought it in 2011 with just 700 miles on the clock.

LOVING every moment, enjoying every epic mile and soon it will be top-down-permanently weather too . . . + no problems/issues to report except that we might need a couple of new Xenon Dipped Beam Bulbs (£150 each from OPC lo)!

Hope yours are all going well too

Khushy

That is some mileage and good to hear that you have had 100% reliability. You put me to shame - I am enbarrassed to say that I bought mine new in March 2010 and have done almost 15000 miles. Sad really I suppose but it is a fun car for me. I was hoping to have changed out to a 981 Spyder two years ago but lack of PDK killed that off for me. My current Spyder is PDK and I just do not want to go back to manual. Have a LOI in for 718 Spyder (hoping for PDK this time) but am planning to change out to 718 GTS in the meantime - trip planned to Frankfurt Motor Show in September for launch. You might think I'm mad but I just feel like a change - I have never kept a car for so long and I will be sorry to see it go

Nice work Khushy! I thought I was pushing the boat out at 34,000, having bought at 1,600. Amateur night

Well done! I did 50k miles in my RS60 and enjoyed every single one. I regret selling it so don't!

That is awesome!

Embarrassingly I have done less than 500 miles in mine since getting it 15 months ago and 300 of them were driving it home getmecoat

Always good to hear how a car is performing with more advancing mileage smile

I upgraded my xenons with a pair of these, less than £50 a piece at the moment I believe. Extremely easy to fit and no error codes at all:

Seems to be a few options available now, I shall let you peruse google at your leisure though:

When i bought the Spyder, the lights were awesome, now they are PANTS so i am hoping that new bulbs will fix this :-)

That's amazing! Well done. I've only managed 6,000 miles since brand new in 2010.

Well done that man nearly 100K .I have only covered 11K in mine since March 2013 so should feel bad at not using them for what they are designed for "driving" .
They are one of the best cars around and would buy another one this time with PDK but are no longer a £30+k car .
My 981 Spyder as only covered 1.300 since May 2106 would take the 987 out first .Nice also to hear no issues .

There is a Silver one for sale at OPC Edinburgh for £50K.

What's the thoughts on the Edinburgh car?
It's certainly the right spec, it's certainly at the top end price wise!
Or do the 981 premiums make it look ok?
I can't decide what's a bubble anymore, it's the longest hype I ever recall.
Maybe it isn't a bubble given the emissions direction- that's real/fact & not temporary.

Hats off on such stupendous use of the car!!

The previous owner of that car recently posted here:
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Other than mine being white, it is a similar spec (although I don't have/want cruise control) and similar miles.
Is it worth £50k? I am sure someone will buy it.
