I just had a pair of car seats taken fro yorkshire to harrow for £46...its usually cheap as chips

I've used them and they were by far the best option. I suppose it comes down to what it is and it's worth just like anything else.

I had a car moved from mid Scotland to Devon on boxing day for £330, seemed reasonable to me

Have you waited until you get the cheapest quote through? It can take a while. I had a car taken from Nottingham for £400 - to Belfast. I couldn't do it myself for that price!
