M3 CP Exhaust Overrun (or lack of it)
Discussion
Hi All,
when I recently test drove an M4 CP, (with circa 3k miles on it) the exhaust overun (pop and crackle) was very noticeable in sport/sport+.
I have an M3 which has <1200 miles on it and the exhaust sound as described above is almost non-existent.
I have asked the dealer and they said that at the 1200 mile service they "flick some switches" that allows LC and "other things" that will create the exhaust sound that I sampled on the test car (I know some hate this overrun but it makes a boring commute more bearable for me).
Have you guys experienced the same re. the pre/post 1200 mile service?
Cheers.

Mine is less than a week old and pops, crackles and burbles constantly when in Sport Plus and manual.
More noticeable in first and second if you lift off between 2k - 3k rpm.

This was quite a cold evening - not sure if that makes much of a difference to the amount of overrun burbles.
