Sorry for the typo in the subject title.....it should of course be Apollo 11.

I was searching for new and recent stuff to use with my PSVR yesterday and came across this 'game' at under a tenner. It is in the PSN VR Marketplace.

It's basically a VR illustrated interactive video of the first moon landing using the Saturn 5 rocket. It shows some stunning footage and uses original speech/voices of the crew and Mission Control.

The boarding> journey to orbit earth and moon> landing on moon> moonwalk> blast-off into space above earth and moon> return through earths atmosphere and touchdown are all there in VR.

Separation of different stages of the Saturn 5 are shown and all accompanied by commentaries and text as well as radio chat between Mission Control and astronauts. The whole thing can be watched as a presentation or the viewer can take control of the craft at interval like docking and landing on the moon. I watched it and was impressed by its VR which really gives one an impression of the vastness of the whole undertaking and isolation of space.

The reproduction of the interior of the module on the Rocket as well as the landing module is very realistic and extremely cramped. The other astronauts are well rendered as are any CGI effects which are used.

The PSVR is well used and the subject matter well presented and polished for most part if a little short on length but under a tenner I can't complain and will definitely watch it again and recommend it to PSVR owners out there wanting something different and fact filled to use the PSVR on.

SPOILER ALERT if you want to see the YouTube video of the game review see here.

Just read on REDDIT that the company responsible for this title are going to do the same for RMS Titanic. That will be worth seeing.
