Ta for that. Lazy buggers like me don't check things very often. Should be fixed now.

Probably. Haven't checked of course.

Looking forward to seeing vid - how large is the file now ?

Good photos chaps. I've sent some to Ted so they should be up on the site somewhere soon.

Cheers,
John.

What we haven't mentioned is the club won the 'Best Club Stand' at the show. In fact the stand was so impressive compared to the others it was something of a landslide victory - 40 cars, flags, floral arrangements, video display (ok, it didn't actually play any videos, but it looked like it might) posters and cards being given away, a Tuscan racer, two mass engine start ups etc....

The Jaguar lot looked a little miffed and came over to point out our Union Jack was being flown upside down. Bad losers!!

Finale was the victory parade in the main arena, led by Grant's road going Tuscan racer with a HUGE TVR flag. Nice bit of wheelspin to keep the crowd happy (with some middle aged woman commenting sarcastically 'oh very clever').

A good day out with the usual Berkshire crowd enhanced by a couple of hastily invited (or were you ordered there guys?) Pistonheads Tuscans (Berks is a bit short of Tuscans for some reason).

Big thanks to the organisers who put in a huge amount of effort over a number of weeks and were on site at 6.30am that morning.

I think Ted may post a report later today which covered the day in vague detail

I do like the way all the stone-chips on my car magically disappear when photo's are taken of it

Just to add thanks to everyone that organised the stand. Was a great turn out, and a good pat on the back to all involved for winning the 'Best Stand' prize...!

Hi guys,

Yop, Griff2be (Andy) was spot on. There was a video playing for about 1 hour but then it turned into a smoke generator as it set on fire – you didn’t mention that cool feature mate ! We will be working on this for next year – um the video not the fire. Graham Maidlow, the Berkshre R.O., is already making plans god help him. It took 3 months to get the stuff for this year. Anyway, we will be using this event as a spring board to get even bigger names and cars to the stand next year. The bigger and sexier the better don’t you agree ! All the best guys and see ya around. Glad you enjoyed the show.

PS. The Directors at Santa Pod contacted Graham on Monday. Addionally to the ½ price tickets, they are organising a hospitality tent. Sounds good to me. Anyway, there is some further details on the Berkshire regions web site and I believe George Carter has just put some stuff on the Pistonheads link on the subject. Just remember it’s this Sunday. Go straight there and pay at the gate.

I saw the smoke and assumed one of the Speed Six engines had gone bang

Had no idea about the fire. Did you call in the people who had the vintage fire engines?

Fire engines as a hobby eh? And they call me sad for polishing the Griff's engine....
