Urgent help required: Rear box fell off!
Discussion
I thought my cerbie was really popping and banging well today until I heard a horrible steel-on-tarmac kind of noise! Anyway the only thing left holding the rear box on was the rubber gromets. I have since removed the box and found the welded joints to be badly corroded so I guess it's beyond repair. I'm therefore after advice - it seems like a good opportunity to fit a sports exhaust - is there anyone in the Hampshire area who would have one ready to fit? I'd like to be back on the road by next weekend at the latest.
Cheers in advance (sounds very fruity without a rear box mind you!)

Julian,
It's your's if you want it. Can you collect it from me in Tadley. You'll have to wait for a while cos I'm currently sat in Mexico tho - taking a break from the sun - it's 33 deg C outside!!!
Thanks, no idea where tadley is, let me know when you get back?
Cheers

Thanks for the exhaust james. Am going to cut it open and look inside.
However when you said the exhaust fell off I assumed you meant that one of the rear pipes had fallen off.
I didn't realise you meant that the pipes between the rear box and the cats had fallen off and got lost.
That must have been a major league bang underneath your car
