VW EOS Windscreen pillar repair

Hi,
Noob here, I'm hoping someone with some bodywork experience can offer me some advice. Managed to smash the windscreen and side window on my VW EOS which have now been replaced but im left with a few deep scratches and a large ish dent on the windscreen pillar as seen in the picture.
Can anyone tell me if this piece is removable/replaceable or if a repair to the existing panel is the best move?

From what I can see, the pillar can be repaired; doesn't look like it will need much more than pin pulling.

The windscreen will need to be removed.
