How to use a webcam?
Discussion
Hello PH (first post in this forum
)
Anyway, I'm a MAC user and I've been using iChat to have webcam sessions with all my other 'MAC' mates. It's perfect, runs at 30 frames a second and has voice enabled. It does have a downside though... it's only for MAC people and there's plenty of people out there who can't use iChat.
So, I want to find another to chat with PC friends around the world, using my camera. How can I do this? I've done a quick search on the net and all the sites I find want me to upload pictures to an FTP site or to stream directly to a webpage.... I have the access to neither of these technologies. All I want to do is plug in my camera, let someone see me and let me see them.
Are there any programmes that do this? MSN for MAC doesn't have webcam support. Yahoo Messenger does have webcam support, but two friends I want to chat to have problems with Yahoo Messenger on their PCs.
It's all a bit confusing
Any suggestions? Cheers in advance.
