Catawiki Online Auction Site
Discussion
Stumbled across https://www.catawiki.com/buyer today as a couple of artists I follow on Instagram sell through this platform. Apparently it started as a Wiki site for collectors catalogues, and moved into hosting specialist auctions. Like a sort of geeky Ebay.
So far I have found dedicated auctions for model trains, taxidermy (!), vintage bags for Mrs H6 and an Omega Watch auction with a lovely birth year Seamaster. They even have a Meteorite Auction! https://auction.catawiki.com/meteorites-auction/su...
9% buyer fees don't scare me off and the delivery charges seem reasonable. I've already burned a few hours browsing the site and I'm tempted to jump in on some art and the watch. The autobid system seems transparent enough, but we are talking hundreds/ thousands on some of these items purchased from all over Europe. Anyone have any experience or advice?

Seems really interesting, loads of very different things for sure. If anyone has got a spare few tens of thousands I'll take the airstream caravan So far I have found dedicated auctions for model trains, taxidermy (!), vintage bags for Mrs H6 and an Omega Watch auction with a lovely birth year Seamaster. bump!
Has anyone sold anything via this site? online reviews are patchy at best although those with good experiences review much less than bad.
I was point to this site by an art website, thinking of listing some prints which are in the £700 - £2,000 range and will be sent tracked and insured but nervous of the usual eBay scams (claiming faulty product, sending back different product etc)
