When using MS word and writing long documents ie. over 100 pages when you delete something on one page how do keep all the other pages intact without the text moving up or down to the previous or following page. Do you have to put a page break onto each page manually? any idaes appreciated.
Thanks,
G.

Exactly that - manually insert page breaks

Hopefully a document that long would be structured into sections/chapters. You can use section heading properties to control which sections/chapters start on a new page. If you have particular parts of the document that you want to keep together (eg pictures and related text) you can specify this too. That way Word will automatically put the page breaks in the appropriate places. That is miles better than manually putting page breaks in, which is a horrible technique to use.

My lo-tech way is to replace the deleted lines with blank lines by using the Enter key as required.

Couldn't agree more. If you want a new page, try Ctrl+Enter to insert a page break. There are more sophisticated options as well.
