Roads in the UAE
Discussion
Hello PistonHeads,
I'm new here. Seen some great stuff about road trips in the UK and Europe, but I want some ideas that are a bit further afield.
Spotted this vid the other day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKaPufZrxC0
I've heard Dubai has some good spots and that you can go out to the desert in a Landy, but this place looks epic for a road trip. Has anyone else been there? Are there any other spots in the Far East you'd recommend??
Cheers,
Kong

Jebel Jais (the road in the video) is great fun, if a little slippy at times due to sand.
It's used a fair amount by both car and bike clubs and (unfortunately) by Joe Q Public as well - this means that anywhen other than very early morning you can forget about a clear run - think overloaded 4x4s struggling up at 100kph
It's also a fair trek from Dubai but I ran my 360 there once or twice as decent driving roads in the UAE are very few and far between.
