I got a speeding ticket last saturday. I've only just remembered that I need to go and pay it and drop my licence into my local constabulary by the end of today - problem is I'm away from home and too hungover (over the limit about three times at the mo) to drive back to sort it out.

1)What shall I do?
2)Am in more trouble?
3)Whiskey or gin?

Thanks in advance!

Even though I am reluctant to go reeking like a brewery, I don't have the paper part of my licence or my insurance certificate with me anyway, which is why I had a week to go back......

Presume because you say you have to produce your Licence at the Cop shop then you were stoppped by police and given a NOTICE to produce the Notice, Licence and Counterpart within 7 days. If done and all in order then you will then get a Fixed Penalty Ticket and then go into the pay sequence withou Court appearance.

By not producing then your going down the road straight to Court.

Suggest if you don't want this hassle consider making contact with Plod to see if they will extend the 7 days in order that you can find your counterpart and produce this with your Licence when in a sober state.

Plod will want to confirm from your Licence and counterpart that you are possibly not in breach of the totting up procedure and if not can then issue a FPN.

DVD.

Obviously you didn't take seriously the OFFER of a FIXED PENALTY TICKET...

Now there is a potential for more points, a higher fine and court costs...

Hope it was an 18yr old Glenfiddich you ordered..
