Smart Repairs Maidenhead area

Not sure if this small dent can be removed by a Smart repairer but need to get some advice. I know that the quality of work can vary between these guys so can anyone recommend a good one.

Very busy for a good reason I was going to recommend him too, he's worked absolute wonders on my cars and my mother in laws car that had it's wing stoved in, in a car park incident!

Had the car fixed today, whilst better than it was, it is still very noticeable and I wont be able to live with it so off to see the bodyshop tomorrow.

I will be interested in what the bodyshop proposes, my 911 has multiple small dents in both rear arches. Still arguing about a resolution for them but that is a whole different thread.

One bodyshop proposes that the damage is repaired, the whole wing painted. They also recommend that the door is painted and blended in to ensure a good colour match with the wing.

Another body shop said they would repair and paint the wing only but did say the match with the door would be "noticeable".

It's a fairly major job(and expense) for such a small dent, my wife thinks I'm nuts for even considering it. However the car is twelve years old and I intend to keep it for some time so in my mind it's worth it.

After my experience with the smart repair (and I think the smart repairer was a good one) I won't be going down that road again so it's live with the dent or bite the bullet and get a proper job done.

What would you do?

The bodyshop response is interesting, my 911 has multiple small dents in both rear arches, the response from the perpetrators is to use PDR and/or paint small areas of the rear wings whereas the bodyshop said the same as yours i.e. repaint the panel and blend into adjacent panels.

I had a car with a few small dents in awkward places and got them taken out at Porsche Reading. They have a dent guy who does superb work and it was £100 to 150 + VAT per panel.

I'd be very surprised if a great dent guy couldn't get that out. Have you seen the Car WoW guy's 996 roof.

How good is the OPC Reading dent guy? The dents in the rear wings of my car are very, very small and the PDR people who have looked at them say they are too small.

In my experience the PDR was so good that you could not normally tell where the repair had been done. The last car I had repaired was a 996 in basalt black and one of the dings was in a very nasty spot and I coudn't see how they would get to it. I also managed to damage the wing of a maritime blue 964 when something went flying in my workshop and they massaged the dent out perfectly. Pop your car in and see what they say. The guys I dealt with are in the central ops side.

Thanks for all of the replies, have decided to go down the bodyshop route so I can get some other paint work done on the car at the same time.
