Hi.

I have tried a few euro accounts in the past, mainly UKForex (Now OFX) & Transferwise for the last 12 months.
Transferwise have been fantastic, great website and the money always arrives in 24-48 hours max no matter which country I send it to.

After checking my account I have sent just shy of 300,000 euro abroad in the last 12 months and its on the increase, basically all ran through Transferwise via a bank transfer from my account. This got me thinking, if I could do the same on an AMEX charge card or similar then I would rack a fair chunk of points up and benefit from this however Transferwise dont accept AMEX neither do OFX.

Does anyone know of an alternative company who will accept AMEX or a similar type card where I can earn points as I know Transferwise do accept some credit cards.
I presume sending money direct via a business credit/charge card wont have as good rates?

Thanks in advance and hope this makes sense.

Having looked on the BA site it appears they only work with AMEX now.

I also need a fairly high credit limit, most transactions are between £2000 - £8000, I can pay on credit card and pay off immediately if needs be.

If you' use Amex's own fx service, does that qualify for points?

It says so here

I did see that and actually spoke to them this evening, you get 1 point for every £20 spent which is better than nothing I suppose however there rates are not as good as I get now so its really not worth the hassle switching.

The guy on the phone said in an ideal world I should get a gold or platinum business card and find a company who will accept it, I would get around 30,000 points for signing up and spending X amount plus 1 point for every pound so I would have 200,000+ points within 12 months!!

Lloyds Bank issue the combined AMEX and Mastercard account. Avios points are earn't but these can be converted into BA Executive Club points if you want to.

Thanks, I didn't realise Lloyds offered that however it looks as though its on personal accounts only, not business?

I an extremely interested in this too. I send 8 figures worth of USD a year to suppliers in China. I would love if there is one but, I can't see how it would be possible to get the same great rates from my brokers and all they points too.
