Trainee train driver managers interview then MMI

I have a trainee train driver Managers interview in 2 weeks then a MMI (i thought it would be the other way around)

Any tips?

I applied for govia thamslink.

There are vacancies on their website at the moment for trainee drivers.

I drive/operate Tampers (on track maintenance machines). Have been doing it for 14 years now.

Once you have your foot in the door on the railway, it's a great career. Not many leave it voluntarily.

When I had my interview back in 2003, I was told to swot up on the company's safety record (the railway is berserk on health and safety), as they asked you what you knew about company.

Have you done your psychometric test yet? If you have, and passed it of course, you're ahead of the game.

Hi baz, thank you for the reply! Yes i have completed all tests and passed! I have Managers/MMI interviews to pass and then finally medical. I have 2 weeks to get prepared and the first thing im going to do is learn about the company.

I'd passed mine before I went to the interview too. For me, it was a case of making all the right noises in the interview.

It's been a while since I went through it all. Check out the company values as they seem to like that at the moment, oh and customer service is a hot topic. Even for qualified Drivers interviews they seem to be more interested in these than your operational knowledge/record. Have a look here if you haven't already:

No problem remember you can't do enough research. Good luck with it, tough to get in but it's well worth it.
