Hi, I need a bit of help/advice regarding the paint on my bonnet starting to scratch/chip (by the TVR badge) but it looks like the paint is covering or under a thin layer of cellophane/plastic unlike the rest of the car which is OK. I think when I bought the car somebody mentioned it had Armourfend but I have no idea what this looks like. Thanks

Thats the amourfend, I have the same on the griff & if its like mine its just the leading edge of he car that is covered. It protects against stonechips, but each impact leaves a little white mark in the plastic covering. It can be peeled off if it's past its best. I've cut out small sections to clean it up over time.

Oh right, thanks. So the paint underneath is intact then?

It's hard to be definite, depends on what has hit it!

I use a scalpel to carefully cut sections away to check the paint. Usually its just the armour fend that is damaged and it looks cleaner with that bit cut out. At some point the whole covering needs replacing.

I found this company using a quick search, I'm tempted to ask for a quote.
