No thread for Joni Sledge?

Died earlier today. Perhaps not everyone's cuppa, but very much of her/their time.

I remember seeing Sister Sledge live in Lewisham of all places, would have been the late 70s.

Certainly one of the sounds of my formative years.

A few big hits, but not really in the same league as Bowie, or even Rick Parfitt. Sad for her family, but when did they last release anything?

I'm very clever when it comes to music and imho the last decent album Bowie released was Young Americans,I thought Let's Dance was typical 80s pap,Nile Rogers produced who a few years previous had produced We Are Family for Joni and her sisters which was a great album along with all those late 70s Chic albums.
Obviously he had released a load of albums after YA but I don't buy into the myth that everything Bowie released was some fantastic work of art and don't get me talking about Tin Machine
