Has anyone on here done the 24 hour bike race on the Bugatti Circuit at Le Mans. The bike clun I ride with is considering entering a team and I am keen to give it a go as part of a team. Nor mad enough to do it solosmile

Just after some feedback as to whether it is worth going, is it family friendly as in could I take the wife and kids would they get bored during the event?

Any other useful hints would be welcome.

Having done Brands and Nurburgring events we looked at it and decided it was too flat.

Flat or hilly it is still a huge challenge that looks like it might be fun.

I didn't mean to piss on your frites, 24hr team races are buckets of fun, I've done a couple and am looking forward to another as the highlight of my year.
Do it, you only regret the rides you didn't do.

Its apparently very very boring.

A few mates of mine have done it, most wouldn't go back.

This is on my list precisely because it's flat. The date is a tricky one though and it's impossible to commit early, but hopefully a last minute entry will be possible.

I did Brands last year and am doing it again this year.

If you're all friends and know each other it will be fine, Brands was family friendly and everyone was happy and chatty etc.

When you said 'support' I assumed you meant a wheel to follow wink

We did Brands and it was savage, it's a lot of climbing per lap, you have the short sharp kick up Druids and then the long drag up from Surtees every seven minutes. I'd ride the full Le Mans circuit once for nostalgia but not the Bugatti circuit, too short and no features but if you were competitive I see the draw, it's popular and you would find a lot of fast lapping groups to ride with.

Basically, it's the nurburgring or nothing now, you ride it once and everything else is a bit meh!
