First week observations....
Discussion
Just completed my first week of Tuscan ownership
Done just short of 700 miles, spent about £150 on fuel, washed it four times and JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH
Any (and I mean ANY!) excuse to drive her. Hmmm, I think the fact I just called a car "her" proves how far gone I am!
Think the missus (or one of the neighbours) is going to start voodoo soon (either on me or the car). At least my eldest boy (3andabit) likes it, so I have at least one ally in the house / street.
Got a bit worried the other day. I could hear a strange noise (over and above the normal din!) when revving / car stationary. Can't describe the noise. Kind of like a thin / tinny metallic rubbing sound
Oh well....the bonnet had to come off sooner rather than later. Expecting the worst, I was pleasantly surprised to find a half mangled packet of Quavers rubbing on the scavenge pump belt
Gawd knows how they got in there?!?! Still, glad the bonnet came off 'cos the Lambda probe wires / connectors were semi melted to the exhaust manifold
Other than that, I was glad to find no leaks, etc, and could marvel at the engine in general
General build quality was also leagues ahead of what I was expecting.
Sure I've just damned myself.
So glad I got this car before we're all limited to 20mph by satellite / scameras / the Blair!
One other thought....why does driving a 'normal' car after the Tiv seem like driving a bed by remote control? You seem sooooo detatched from the driving experience, it's almost surreal.
Got me thinking, which is the 'safer' car to drive?

Hi J
Went past the BIB the other day. Sure WPC in the passenger seat was dribbling!
How's the new waste of money? Little bird told me you were disappointed with the noise it made?!?
Police were always fine with the plate - it was the DVLA that moaned when I parked outside their offices in it.
The Jag's really nice, actually. Decided not to bother getting it any louder - it's no where near as noisy as the Tusc, but it's a glorious V8 roar with the sports pipes it's got on now. Will spend any money from selling the Rover on a set of uprated dampers and the tiptro gearbox, before I put my fist through the J-gate next time it refuses to drop a cog for me/changes half way through a really tight corner!
