DIY Will (Scotland) any advice?
Discussion
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent template or similar to create a will.
I am going for an operation soon and thought I had better get a will sorted in case I die on the table.
I have never had a will before and want to leave everything to my Partner ( not married)
House, Car, Pension, insurance, shares, furniture etc. I have no children.
Am I right in thinking this is as simple as a will can get? Will a DIY will be okay? Any recommendations?
I have small debt (credit card,loan etc) but savings are much higher than that.
Any tips for doing this?
Thanks in advance

As far as I'm aware a simple letter should cover this ensuring it's signed/dated by you with a couple of independent witnesses who also sign it with their names also printed (ie not your partner or someone could have reasonable claim to your estate)

It's a sad day, I voted no last time and at the moment I am still thinking along those lines but the last thing we really need is 2 years of people falling out with friends and family, this one will be even more divisive I would imagine which is a shame.I haven't used this site, but I stumbled across it recently and it might be of interest;
