Looks like the price increase has come out today! Configurator is down, but it works if you load up a previous code you have created.

From what I can tell, the base price of a Cayman 2.0 has gone up £2k, but you now get PCM Nav as standard.

Most options seems to have jumped about 5-10% as well.

I'm guessing this now effects all cars not in build yet which is a bit annoying!

Apologies, my maths is messed up. (Although sort of right if you subtract the fact you now get Nav 'included')

It's actually gone up £3k for the base price. Ouch!

How does that affect an order already placed?

I ordered a Macan GTS on Saturday and paid a deposit and looking at the price it has gone up over £2k even with the PCM Sat Nav included mad

Mine's gone up £3k but includes £2k of extras now as standard so I guess the base price is up £1k but with less choice.

All extras up by about 4%.

Presumably used car prices will edge up too.

Same for the base Boxster. Price up £3k but includes PCM, DAB and Conenct Plus which were approx £2k.

Clever as usual.

Add £3k due to GBP depreciation but sugar the pill with £2k of options (which cost £200 to manufacture)

Exactly! It's not too bad for people who were speccing those items originally anyway, but I hadn't bothered with Connect plus and digital radio myself.

You'll be incurring the price rise unfortunately I imagine.

Depends when the cut off for the new MY will be, but imagine all cars not currently in "lockdown" will incur the price rise

Mine's up by £4K, I had previously specced Connect only, so it's bumping it up a lot for "free" options I didn't have previously.

TBH I was expecting worse ... if you look at the devaluation of the Pound against the Euro since last June I was expecting 8-10% price increases. My increase is 3.4% as I was going for Nav and DAB which are now in the base specification.

Another thing ... the increase on the base Cayman now puts this above the £40,000 list price threshold therefore will also have the £310 annual supplement on the VED.

I think regardless, the VED increase was a given anyway.

It's based on list plus options so I'd be pretty surprised if anyone has ordered a totally basic Cayman with no options whatsoever.

Buyers who put deposits down last summer with a view to beating the VED increase are now getting a double whammy essentially as a result of the fiasco where OPCs seem to have had literally only 1 or 2 build slots each quarter for the last few.

My 991.2 C2 order has increased by around £1450 - about 1.7% of the total

Deposit down a couple of weeks ago so was anticipating this but still leaves a bad taste

That's pretty much the increase in the base price, increase in options offset by the new 'standard' heated seats and floor mats!!!!!!

Interestingly the C2S I'd configured as an alternative has gone up by roughly the same absolute cost, so relatively smaller increase - which now makes the S seem a better deal!!!!

Which is why I wasn't critical! Price rise is way less than pound fall, and they have insulated it cleverly

I'm not sure why there is surprise at this, we were warned it was coming early in 2017 - one of the benefits of the leave vote wink

Do Porsche usually re-base their GFV values they use for PCP finance off the back of these price increases?

Having a play around with the finance calculator on the configurator seems to show the same GFV pre-price increase.

Wouldn't this have the effect of devaluing existing cars without Sat Nav and DAB?

May be my poor logic, but the market will now expect every 718 to have these fitted so those without will be less desirable?

I checked my configurated upcoming 991.2GTS coupe and there has been a slight increase i list price however after closer scrutiny i notice that Pdls in black, heated seats and floor mats are now inclusive so the pain is much less....
