JOHNO:DESPERATE OF KENT 100amp fuse

Having had the Griffith die this afternoon, restart and then misfire, and then die again, investigation has shown the 100 amp fuse has melted and died ...

Managed to get to friends in Kent, but now desperate for a 100 amp fuse for the Superbikes at Brands Hatch tomorrow and then to get home ....

Has anyone got a spare 100amp fuse I could collect this evening/morning !!!!

Or is it possible for an emergancy measure to hard wire the system ... reckless or not ?? What does it protect ??

I don't see why not - that's what I'd do.

Nothing as far as I can see. They weren't used on any of the earlier models, and the only time you hear of them going is when the fuse has failed mechanically. Waste of time as far as I can see.

It's the fuse in line in the battery to fuse box feed, melted and broken.

I don't know the location of the other fusre although I believe it lives on the chassis near the starter ..

Given that this is the feed to the fusebox and all the fuses protect the electrical systems it should be possible to hardwire it without causing any issues ??

What d'ya reckon ? I'd obviously prefer to replace, however, bikes and home mean extreme measures ...

Thanks for all the offers .... after much electrical debate, amp measurement and an element suck it and see I have hard wired it and it seems fine.

I will keep the use of electrical systems to the minimum tomorrow and we should make it home.
