Recently started using Silkolene 10w 50 instead of Valvoline 5w 50 in my Griff 500, can't believe the difference! Increase in oil pressure, engine sounds smoother on start up and tick over.
Also had a look at my air filter which was gunged up to the eye balls, can't see how much air was getting through. Replaced it with a new one yesterday and the difference is amazing, the engine is reving easier and I'm sure there is an increase in power.

Definately more than just the oil they put on a new filter, it was so bad I don't believe it had been changed for a very long time, it must have been choking the engine.
Since I've fitted a new filter there has been an increase in power, even my lad sitting in the passanger seat noticed the improved performance and commented today on how much smoother the engine was.
