Think the thread title says it all... I know it's old and rare, but....

As much as I love Beetles, I couldn't pay that for one.

With VW microbuses fetching as much as $200k the price doesn't seem that outrageous.

One up for auction last year with an estimate of around £300k and that was a fully restored ex red cross car:

With this one being ex Goering, fairly original and having so much documentation, it seems reasonably priced. However, for such a high profile car, one might want to ask why Ebay and not Bonhams or RM.

Assuming the "previous owner" detail is correct that's the reason or the price.

I wouldn't want it even if I could afford it, but someone will. The price doesn't seem ridiculous if the history is accurate and provable.

One that looks nice, but doesn't go very well.

Clearly one that has rotten heater channels, A pillars and rear quarters.
You'd think the seller would at least clean it but sorry, even as a Beetle fan, that price is way too rich. I can't recall another being sold for more than 100k?
