Armed Forces Exercise in North Yorks?

The RAF AWACS (Boeing Sentry) has been parked over North Yorkshire for a big chunk of today, does anyone know if there are some exercises going off in that part of the world? I would guess not very hush-hush as it has ADS-B turned on.



Lovely day for a flight though, lots of gliders and other private light aircraft down at the lower levels, can't say I blame them, must be glorious around there on a day like today. Nice bit of thermal activity going on here and there.

There was a lot of troop movements going on over the weekend in the wittering area, looked like assembling for an exercise.
