Some good shots there SAM. You can see some time and effort have gone into the composition. Making sure the car is spotless helps a huge amount too!

The first one and last one are great! Id maybe have put a bit more left wheel lock on the last one and a litle more levels adjustment to make the body a really deep black. Just nitpicking though really!

Its a shame about the blanked numberplates. They seem to distract from what is otherwise a great set of photos IMO.

Cheers

No.1 for me, although the gate "sticking up" behind the car is a little distracting. Nice borders BTW

I agree. Better to blank it fully rather than smudging the plate. Use the pipette tool in photoshop to get the exact colour match then use the paintbrush to colour over the plate.

Indeed! Wonder who originally came up with those...

Thanks guys, yea I just did the plates as an quick measure for the forum – as I would rather not post the number plate on the net. (If you want to see the original without blanked plate just email me.)

Border… no idea, but I have seen printed photos with black borders all over - I think it’s a good touch and frames a digital photo quite nicely

The gate post got in the way but I couldn't (at that location) position the car to get the shot with the grassy bank from the road... will watch out for that next time.

I'm sure a pro could do a better job, but 5 minutes in Photoshop and I have moved the post, just out the shot don't tell the farmer.
