C63 question. MCT 7S or 7G?

Is there any obvious feature on the centre console and shift lever that distinguishes 2012 MCT 7S equipped cars from the earlier 7G, without having to establish this from the build sheet?

For those that have used both, what have you found to be the merits and general consensus on the two options?

Many seem to be mis-advertised. Some bizarrely advertised as being 4-matic ????

The newer gearbox has RS (race start) as a setting on the knob used to select the mode.

Pre-facelift C63 (2008-2011) has the 7G-Tronic.
Facelift C63 (2011-2014) has the MCT.

MCT shifts faster, better response of the shifting paddles and it has the Race Start function.
