Getting tough on Fraud
Don't push your car off a cliff
Discussion
Not to mention the selfish gits in the insurance industry who are responsible for putting all of our premiums through the roof.
Why won't they let me insure my cars third party only? My cars are worth sod all yet they're still screwing me for six hundred quid.
...and another thing, how come you need to start your no claims bonus again when you get a second/third/fifteenth car?
I think that the insurance industry are shooting them selves in the foot with this one - the fraudsters are the only people who think insurance is good value.

Quite right!
If you have to declare any accidents/claims/points when you start a second policy (i.e. you are deemed to be a high risk), for which I assume you are penalised by a higher premium, why aren't you given the benefit of an existing NCB (i.e. you can prove to be a low risk)?
...and when you are the only driver of your cars you still have to pay for third party cover on each car even though you can only drive one at a time.
Did my insurance go down when I removed the stereo? No, despite the much reduce risk of having it nicked.
Did my insurance go up when I improved my brakes? Yes, despite the reduce risk of having an accident.
Did my insurance go up again when I returned my brakes to standard? Of course it did.
I would rather be mugged, at least muggers have shame enough to run and hide.
