Extended warranties

Tomorrow I am going from a C63 to an E63s. I have always had my extended warranty with Merc themselves (c.£1k for the C), the quote I am getting from Merc for 1 year with a £250 excess is £1,600 on the E.

To me that sounds pretty lumpy. Are there any others worth looking at or should I just stump it up?

I will 95% go for the Merc one, I just wanted to check if anybody had experience of other warranties that actually paid out?
