Mobile Speed Camera Car on the M1

[bsdnazz]

As we were driving home down the M1 this evening we saw a new sight.

A white hatchback with a speed camera sign in the back window. Taking up all of the left hand side infact. In the righthand side back window was a scrolling LED display that read 'SPEED CAMERA.

There was a driver but no passanger that I could see. I could not take too much of a look given that I was driving. As I passed the car I was some bright lights that appear to be mounted where the sun visor would be.

Any know what this is all about?

Whereabouts on the M1?

Between J15 and J14 as we headed towards London.

Bridge near jc15 has been one of the hottest spots in the country since the mid-90s. My fleet of 2000 vehicles used to pick up around a ticket a day from there back then...
