steering gaiter

After having a new steering gaiter fitted the chim is now behaving oddly. The steering is oscillating and making driving uncomfortable at 40.mph and 70-80mph.I have searched the forum and can find no reference to this type of problem, anyone out there had a similar problem? Solutions anyone? Think the tracking may be out so will sort that on tuesday but any other thoughts gratefully received.
