Hi,

me and the other half have just started a limited company - we have an accountant who will do our end of year stuff etc but we want some kind of simple invoicing / day to day software (ideally online) and to include simple payroll for producing wage slips.

We only have one employee, me, who needs a payslip but may have more in the future (don't see it being more than 10 on books)

I've been looking at sage and they seem to do two different solutions which match our needs but not one single package - can their products be linked to work together or is there another solution ?

Presumably you are aware of all the monthly admin required when you run payroll such as HMRC returns etc.? Usually most cost effective to use an external payroll provider for this unless you know all the rules and regulations involved.

Sage one.

Can trial them for free as well.

We use Xero for invoicing and Sage One for payroll though we are moving over to Xero for the new financial year for payroll as well.

Very easy to use, does all of the RTI and submissions etc. I'd certainly recommend it.

Similar position for me, I use Excel for basic in & out of the company account which I give the accountant each 1/4, and let them do the payroll, costs £200 a year for 1 full time & 2 part time people on the books, for the cost it isn't worth doing it myself.

We use Sage One with payroll for one company and Xero with payroll for another. Xero wins hands down. Sage is clunky and awkward by comparison.

I use HMRCs own RTI System for managing 9 team members, does everything I ask of it.
