Classic car welders / body work near Carlisle, East Cumbria
Discussion
Hi
Every year or so something new needs welding on my classic Volkswagens and the chap that I have trusted with these jobs up to now has retired.
I'd love to be able to do some of this myself, but I don't want to start on my pride and joy and don't have the time to practice.
The job at the top of the list is the sill on the offside of my 1967 VW bus. Probably best to cut out the inner and outer and weld in the replacement panels. It could probably be plated to get through the MOT but I'd just end up doing the same for another section in a year or two.
Please send recommendations for small body shops / or welders that tackle classics, the closer to Carlisle the better, value for money is always good too.

Try Paul Duff - he did a lot of work on my mini sorting the shell out.
