Hard to Find Air Filters?

On show us your classic about page 340 341 I asked if anyone knew of a source for Allegro / Maxi Twin Carb air filters. Someone got theirs from a local motor factor, but I couldn't!

Have been searching for a while and could only find ones in the EU at over £17 each plus high postage. Earlpart list but don't stock. Rapidcarparts list as stock at £7 but may not exist (phone doesn't work, no reply to e-mails). So can anyone point me to a source for:

Fits Allegro 1.5 HL Twin Carb, and Maxi 1750 Twin Carb.Sort of oval shape like a webber carb one, and not a round one. Like this:

Reply I got from Opie after ordering the filters...

" I regret that the following part is currently out of stock with no confirmed lead time from UFI themselves"

I am finding that with a lot of searches, despite listing, they don't have them.
