I love the idea that at some point the TV execs were just like "cancel this st" and completely forgot to notify the contestants. It makes you wonder just how long they could have continued oblivious to the fact everyone had forgotten about the show. Like Japanese WWII soldiers emerging from the jungle decades later. Or alternatively, years down the line some TV producer remembers "OH MY GOD THOSE CONTESTANTS" and returns to find a fully functioning society.

So they got to the stage of eating the chicken feed? laugh

It sounds like it could have the potential to make some great TV documenting their decent into hell.

An enterprising sort would deliberately set things up to go this way, but making sure they were properly isolated/stuck and with no bailouts, aiming for a real life Lord Of The Flies experience. The only thing you'd need to be careful of was there being actual deaths. Or at least any you could be blamed for.

Yup. Them Jockish midges are worse than crocodiles for dragging people away and slaughtering them... no wonder so many dedicated contestants gave up early.

Very funny outcome, I wonder if they will actually show anything more. smile

based on the publicity this will generate, of course. The cameras would have kept rolling...

That is pretty funny!

If I was one of them, I probably wouldn't think so though...

It reminds me of those stories about Japanese soliders in the 1970s who didn't know the war was over.
