I never have.

In my martial arts class (started a few months ago) we are required to do handstands to build strength and balance.

I am 52 years old, six two tall. weigh 13 stone, pretty fit.

Can I do a handstand? Can I fk.

is it just me?

Handstand. .....? rofl

NO...

If god had meant us to do handstands, we'd have been born with shoes on our hands..smile

For about half a second before collapsing in an untidy heap.

Didn't feel very safe to try again.

Practice against a wall. The centre of gravity feels strange so once used to that tipping point you should be able to get there.

No, nor have I ever been able to do so.

Never been able to do a gambol either.

Yes I can, although my head stands are better. Used to be able to walk on my hands a bit.

I am 46....

Yes, I can walk on my hands but not as far as I could a decade ago, I'd struggle to do 5 steps now I think, I can no longer do handstand press ups against a wall as a could 5 years ago... My cart wheel has gone to st as well. Oh... the ravages of time.

The last time I tried, I managed to break my collarbone! I was playing with my young nieces in the garden and they were about 6 and 3. I was 19 at the time.

Never again as it bloody hurt when I hit the ground.

Could once, now 56 and am somewhat unwilling to try; I doubt it would end well.

Not since I was about ten.

Could walk about three strides.

And do a headstand too.

That was a long time ago and I weighed about nine stone less.

Used to be able to 10 years ago but then took up snowboarding. When you start snowboarding you are crap.
You fall over a lot and hurt your shoulders.
I'm ok at snowboarding now , but my shoulders are fked and I can barely do a press up - never mind a handstand.

Yep, and walk about a bit on my hands too. Can also walk around on my toes like a ballerina if needed. I'm 33, 12 stone and 6ft. Obviously my parent's were ninjas.

My party piece was a never ending hand stand in my twenties, I could also cat leap onto my hands from standing.

Haven't attempted for years.
