PANICKING - SICK CHIMAERA

help, my chims making an awful scraping noise which SEEMS to be coming from the area of the cat. if the cat is breaking down would it cause 1} the clank i get on start up or switch off { only when hot } and 2} the shunting problem i,ve posted?

If you really want advice get your hands mucky, take the y'piece off & have a look. Simple really only takes an hour to swap mine out & I have 8 bolt flanges to the manifolds! It will also give you time & opportunity to have a good look see if anything else is catching whilst your at it, like belts, loose pulleys.... JFDI!

Or are you just going to get a garage to it?

spend, my old son, if you,d heard the noise the car was making you,d understand my concern. it was bloody awful and very loud, even at 50 it could be heard over the exhaust noise.
