Have had a full respray of my car at Surface and Design and was planning on protecting the entire front end (tip of the nose to the screen) with PPF before using it in anger.

I believe a few people have had their cars filmed (FFG & griffdude at least) and I wondered if you could share photos of any joints you may have in the film around the headlight area?

I have been in touch with Paintshield who advise that due to the size of the nose section effectively there will be two wing sections, one nose section and the bonnet. My car is Olympic Blue so the joins may not be that obvious but I would be keen to see what others have on theirs if possible.

Many thanks in advance.

Going to do this on my chim after it has had a front end respray later this year.

Any idea on prices? Also any recommendations for the Surrey/South London area?

Prices vary wildly from place to place. For the Griffith both Xpel and Suntek have templates for certain parts of the car that they sell as a pre-cut kit. Doing the end of the nose could cost as little as £350 by this method however two of the bigger companies I have spoken to acknowledge that TVRs are hand built and probably not the same on either side, let alone from car to car. They accordingly always make a bespoke pattern and then cut their film from that before fitting to the car. For the full front end to the windscreen plus the mirrors is £1.5k with one and £2.4k with the other - bear in mind a front-end respray is less than either but the paint will not be self-healing. It is fair to say it is a commitment!

I helped with the design of the 500 nose with Paintshield as it was the first one they had done - spend the whole day and I mean from 8am to 9pm with them. 2 joins under the headlight pod from memory without walking outside, unless Tom has changed it.
Few people even know its there but thats on a light car so on a dark car you need to make sure any wax is removed from the edges.
