We've decided to take an extended drive at the end of May and we're trying to decide whether to just to go to France, or make the extra journey to Spain or Germany, South of France.

Anybody have any recommendations? Places to stay, places to go?

Thanks.

Head down through France from Le Havre to Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Le Mans, Cognac etc and then cross the Pyrannees to San Sebastion, cut through the Basque via Haro to Bilboa and take the ferry back to Portsmouth.

A fantastic journy via great towns with great food and wine and awesome roads.

Superb
Ill have a think about it. Ill see if anybody else from the area is comming. Have a friend in the area who runs an Xk120, will see if he fancies it also. We are all in the Chalais, Riberac, Aubeterre triangle of the Charante.

I will let you know when I firm up the plans. Might also try and get down for the Circuits Des Ramparts this yr, just hope it doesnt clash with Goodwood.

Is there any laws i should be aware of (except driving on the opposite side of the road) as i'm thinking of driving to France this year and maybe Spain next year if all goes well, but this will be my first time driving abroad?
