Umm, noticed something over the weekend that never heard before but noticed it when the windows were down and was driving up against a building. My wheels front and back while driving along sound like they are squishing.. Going to get it put up on a hoist and run it to see if it is something else causing it, but at the moment it sounds like it is coming from the tires. Pulled rims off, and checked bearings but all seems to be ok. I would post here to see if anyone else experiences the same thing. I am running 18"'s.
Also just wondering what pressure others are running their 18's at. It sounds like to me that the tires are rubbing on the rims. Originally had 32, in the tyres, but bumped it up to 35 to see if that would fix the problem. (nup). Also saw on the door that if you run over 140km/hr you should have 35 in them.

Very odd, the only similar experience I have had was with a car that had tyres too wide for the rims (225/50/16 when should have been 195/50/16).I doubt this is the case with your car, but it did make a "squishing", particulary when parking, as the rims moved around within the tyre.
I believe this is known as "overtyred".
Would be very interested to hear what it is, if you ever solve it.

Yeah, not sure... you don't notice it with the windows up, and mum and dad drove them around when it was back home, and they never had the windows down. Kind of makes a very strange sound. Thought at first it was the bearings, but didn't sound like that (know too well what that sounds like after working machinery on the farm that had about 150 of the suckers.) It sounds like if you were wearing rubber shoes and were walking on cork with some water in the mix. (hopefully everyone has experienced that at some time in their life). Thought it might have been the rubber on the rims, and it might have been due to not enough pressure in the tyres. Anyhow, taken it down for a wheel allignment just down the road, want to get it finally sorted out, cause doesn't sound very good when you are driving along the road, with all that squishing sound.

Just wondering if anyone was up for a trip down to cornwall on a weekend. Had fun down there over easter, but definitely do-able on a weekend if we left friday night.
Umm, could be condesation in the tyres... as it was done in Tropical North Queensland. What I am a bit afraid of is if I do put the tyres under any load, i.e pulling up in a hurry, I think the last thing you would want is your tyres to come off the rim, as they are tubeless (i.e if there is any chance for the air to escape it will), so if it is rubbing, then there probably would be the chance of some air escaping. The likelyhood of that happening is probably very minimal, but it is definitely raising a bit of concern.

I'm definately up for a run to Cornwall - my parents live down there and I'm over due a visit! Keep meaning to visit the Eden project too.
(My record for Maidenhead->Cornwall is 2:45

OK cool... might have to be in June before i get a chance to go down there again. On call for the next few weeks, before contract is up at the end of April, then going for a tour of Europe for a month, then back here again. Although, thinking of taking parents down there while they are here, but not sure.
