After nearly 3 years SORN took the Griff for MOT this morning, passed surprisingly easily considering the engine hadn't been run in all that time, only one advisory on the osf lower ball joint.
Checked fuel lines whilst on the ramp, all good, no splitting or perishing rubber. I did note the nsf lower wishbone is rusting thro on the box section brace so I think new front wishbones before very long.
Tyres are past their prime even though plenty of tread so I think some new Rainsports next week (Alun and Qbee rate them highly so let's give them a go), last major service was in 2013 and although it's done less than 500 miles since it needs booking in with Matt Smith for a 12k service, wheel alignment and general health check.
In spite of the above I had to give the old girl a bit of an airing this afternoon, I haven't stopped grinning yet
I'd almost forgotten just how quick it is. I even managed the clutch pedal pressure OK in spite of dicky knee (being the reason I've not been able to use it for so long).
Looking forward to Burghley now, shame it's only 12 miles away, much preferred Chatsworth so I could get a decent run to the event.

Can always take the scenic route
Have you seen the thread (Chimaera Forum) about fitting a servo to the clutch hydraulics to reduce pedal pressure?
