First problem..............and fix!

Good Friday, gorgeous weather.
Cars washed in the morning, then son and I off to see "Robots" in the afternoon.....it was a good excuse to use the Chim.
Film was good, drive was even better....

2 passes through Butetown tunnel, then a bit of a pose through city centre!!!

Anyway, stopped at Sainsburys to get some shopping, put in boot, drove home................boot won't open Panic! Wife due back and I'm supposed to be cooking! Anticipate moans about "that bloody car"....

Solenoid definitely working, but nothing happening...

Consult bible - discover secret way in......still no good - key doing nothing....any ideas why anyone?

Then , and success! Phew! Shopping out, barbie on, wife arrives back!

Next day, establish reason for failiure is nipple has come off end of cable...

Try reattaching cable (bit of a lash up) but then boot won't stay shut!!

Take lock off, establish its a bit loose - a couple of measured whacks tighten it up. Strip a brake cable off one of the kids bikes (its OK, one of their old ones....), reattach....fingers crossed...and


Works like a dream!!

Quite proud of myself!!

So just left with conundrum about that key hole....??

Yep - Friday was glorious! Saturday wasn't bad...
Sunday & Monday overcast.
