Bonnet Fitting
Discussion
Hi All
Just finishing off some bits on the bonnet, due to the tyres being just a cheeky bit sticking out I have extended the arches, question is, how good was the original bonnet to body fitment, I have seen some with quite big gaps and falling short of where it sits up to the door. Have any of you got a decent picture I can work to before it all goes to paint.

On the B.O.M. tyre gauge it's taking the piss

Sorry, I thought every body watched Project Binky,
They made a tyre stick out gauge to print off and stick to some ply

"Not very" is the answer!Every one is different as the saying goes, even seen some "concours" cars with really bad gaps!
I think it's just a case of getting it to something you find acceptable either by adjustment or actually adding/removing fibreglass
Hi Glen, must say yours and Barry's look good on the body lines, not being to any meets yet so I am only working from pictures, bonnet now fitted, need a bit of finish so I will leave that for Option 1 to do. just on the last bits before paint, will pull the body next week to give it a stone chip or something like just to cover up all the places where I have added new glass. I have some stuff called Raptor left by someone but not sure if it is the right stuff to use.
