350i door handles
Discussion
Good morning gents,
I was looking at a video of a 92 XJS that's for sale and noticed that they have a very similar door handle.
Have an if you over on that side of the pond ever compared the two as possible replacements? They look a bit fancier and the chrome is nicer than some of the replacements that TVR-Parts has available. Plus some one here in a previous post said they ordered expecting to get ones with the TVR lettering and didn't have it when the handles showed up.
Comments??

They may look similar but the chances of them being interchangeable are about the same as Trump not stopping a bullet in the next 4 years.
Ford have a history of not using parts from other manufacturers, or paying royalties (hence the crap VV carburettor they produced in order not to use the SU design).
I doubt whether Ford America used many parts from the Ford Europe cars either, I think the whole point of the Mondeo was to rationalise international production.. except that the Yanks didn't like it so their Mondeo was different
Anyway, the wedge handles were ex-Cortina (named after a ski resort in Italy - I'll be down there myself in a few weeks
), however the ones with the TVR logo may have been replicas as the logo doesn't appear to have been cut in afterwards which would suggest they were cast that way.
And the best ones are satin black
