I'm due to pick up my 3200AC this weekend, and need some advise from Maserati owners as to which child seats fit well in the rear.

I've currently got a Klippan Futura, which was purchased when I had a Cerbera as it also had very shallow rear seats, and the Klippan was one of the few that would fit.

However, my daughter is now growing too big for this (aged 3 and a half) and I want to get something that will last a couple of years.

I've been looking at the ones offered by Recaro (www.recaro-seats.co.uk/childsafety.asp or www.capitalseating.co.uk/) - anyone tried these in the rear, or any other good options?

Thanks.

Cheers,
Michael

Michael,
We use mammas and pappas (M&P) Baby Seats Which work ok.
The 3200 has quite a lot of rear seat space especially compared with the Cerbera for example.
For ref : Our kids are 3 years.
We find the M&P Seats fit really well.

Hope this is of help?
Pete

Pete -

Thanks for that, much appreciated. I'll pop down to the local M&P store this weekend to try them out.

Anyone know who stocks Recaro child seats? I've contact them via email but no reply.

Cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Try doing a search on www.google.co.uk
I have seen some Recaro Seats at Halfords recently.

Give your local store a ring on check online.

Not sure if it applies to all baby seats but on the down side my "M&P" seats are Barstewards!(they look good as far as child seats can! etc, etc)
but to link through the car seat belts were a real pain.

Yea, Halfords have always stocked the Recaro 'Start', but none of the other seats in the Recaro range. I tried the 'Start' some time ago and didnt like it.

Just got a message back from Recaro and they confirm this. How you are supposed to test the other seats in their range, and the ones I actually want they don't say!

Looks like M&P is the option, unless anyone else has any ideas?

BTW - I think most car seats are Barstewards. We have a Britax one in the other car. It stays in there almost permanently as its too much of a pain to move!

Cheers,
Michael

I found one shop that allowed me to test the seat for a day which was cool but halfords were not interested.

Its a bit of a gamble especially if you need a couple of seats.

Give your local shop a call - they will be more likely to let you try the seat for fitting/ease of use etc but the downside it may cost a bit more.

let me know how you get on Michael ?
cheers

We have had nothing but good experiences with a company called "that's my baby" in swindon (by Porsche /Maserati / Ferrari garages which is nice!) and they have been very helpful in car seats etc.

Hope this helps

Miles
PS Should mention that we have a very humble car but the principle of excellent service still holds!

Thanks for the help fellas.

Spent yesterday driving around most baby shops in Surrey/Berkshire!

Actually found the Mammas and Papas 'Elan' seat fitted the best in the back of the 3200. Tried a few Recaros, Britax and Graco seats, but these did not fit snug in the base of the rear seats.

Cheers
Michael
