Hi All,

Is there such a thing that I can load my CD's in to for it to store and play (the stored music) as part of my separates system?

I'm thinking of a hard drive with a CD player/Ripper built in....I could then play all my old CD's and chose them from some sort of menu.

I don't think I want to load all my CD's to itunes (I don't use anyway) and have to control/play the music in this fashion.

Call me old fashion!...Or could I put them onto an external hard drive and plug the drive in to my system some how.

I have over 200 CD's !!

wink

For a more modern approach do a search on this forum - I'm sure 'Crackie' had good results using a Cocktail product - load CD into slot, rip to on-board HDD (or additional external HDD) and continue until you run out of discs.

There are numerous other ways too.

You could try this:

(no affiliation, just curious).

I just ripped mine as MP3 to my NAS, there are multiple ways to play it from there, including Squeezebox/Sonos/phone and Bluetooth speaker.

I've been using a 2TB Novafidelity X12 http://www.novafidelity.co.uk/x12features/ for a while now.

Capacity to store over 5000 albums, rip and archive all your old vinyl, stream 45000 digital radio stations, act as a hub for multi room systems, act as clean 24 bit / 192KHz source for a 'high end' system etc etc. Loads of useful features, very flexible too. Has a decent 60 watt amp built in too.

Downside is that there are so many features it takes time to master ( did for me anyway ) and the remote is isn't great.

very good overall though imho.
