Hi,

I had a look to the bible as well as the owner manual regarding the subject but found no clue.

So far, with the engine hot, I was just turning the key without touching the accelerator. But, my garage (who seems to know these cars) told me that I should do it while pressing the accelerator, like in the good old times.

So, guys can you tell me what is the normal procedure I should follow?

sorry for the (probably) silly question.

If the engine is set up and working properly you should only need to turn the key.

I never touch the accelerator when starting - hot or cold.

Thanks for your reply.
This is what I thought but being no expert, i wanted to ask.
Having tried to start the engine when hot with the accelerator slightly pushed works too, but I have certainly been lucky.

No need to apologise. If you don't know, you don't know.

The only silly question is the one you don't ask.
